was born in Manhattan. She studied life drawing and painting at the Art Students League of New York, earned a BA, summa cum laude, in art history at Purchase College and an MFA in painting from Western Connecticut State University. Xenia is presently pursuing a doctoral degree in Philosophy, Theory, and Critique of Visual Art at IDSVA in Portland, Maine. She expects to defend her dissertation in March 2026. When drawing or painting, Xenia's quest is to find that singularly beautiful line in the ugliest of things. When thinking and writing, she seeks to unconceal that singularly ugly line in the most beautiful poetic truth.
